Created 1/5/2007, last update 9/1/2007. Mid-August a new contract was signed with Cox effective 10/1/07. Because information on the Internet is searchable by the world, and because we've agreed to be discrete about our new contract, this summary is all we'll post. More information is available on campus from various sources, including the campus-run TV channels. Our new agreement allows for more programming flexibility (Hallmark and Oxygen will be restored, Classic Arts Showcase will be added), and for Cox digital services in any residence on campus. New equipment for on-demand viewing of programs stored on campus means residents will have more choices, choices that better suit their tastes than Cox's general public mix. We have many residents with interesting stories, with videos of work they've done, with media of interest in the public domain - our video program storage system ("tank" or repository) will accommodate these. All residents will be able to view programs in the tank on demand, day or night. This transition has been in work for almost two years. Finally! Exciting!
